Thank you for joining us today as we reach day two in our 13 day challenge covering the 13 rules to a victorious life.

Ownership of Your Life

Lets be honest as most of us wake up to go to work and make the paycheck we are so happy to receive, we stand at the mercy of our employers.  There are many different things that we all may look at when we work for other people and I know most of us just want a guaranteed paycheck but after yesterday I have to say it is much more than a paycheck!  We must do what we can to become better people not only financially but overall everything in our lives.  I went by a car shop my sister works for to talk to the owner about possibly working a day or two during the week on my off days so I can make a little extra cash and was put to work immediately.  With brand new shoes and jeans on  and plans for the day I decided to stay but honestly not sure what made me shrug off everything I had planned.

After a long day at work I sat outside with the owner for about an hour and talked business…  Not just about his shop but more on the business of “Life”.  Owning our own life and being in the situation to decide to be a better person.  We sat and talked and one of the biggest things that caught my attention was his concern for his employees… He doesn’t want someone wanting to be owned and stay at the bottom, he wants employees looking forward and wanting to grow as the company does… He wants the employees that want to take ownership of their life.

I’m not saying that a person can’t “own” their life and work for someone.  I’m not saying you have to own a business in order to own your life.  What I am saying is if you are an employee you should look at your job and your life for that matter, as if you are the greatest asset to everyone!  If you look at your job as if you are the owner of that company and perform on that level, you will be such a value to that company that you will be respected and treated as if you were the owner!  Eventually you should be(if you aren’t already) the one that controls your life.

When looking at your job, don’t approach it like “I have to go to work today” look at it like ” I get to go to work today”  Don’t let your “boss” control you! If you choose to look at work as a privilege and be happy and honored to go to work you then claim ownership of your work life!

Then the next step is to approach everything in your life just like that and watch as your life takes a drastic turn for the better! Once this step is completed and you get to the point of pure ownership, Nothing can stop you in anything that you want to do!!!!

In closing, I want to say thank you for the people in  my life that have gave me this message… Mr. Miguel A. Curl, Sr. , Gary Anderson II, Dora Chambers and after last night Kris Cantu
