Thinking Positively

Looking for “Positive Daily Thoughts”?

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar (just a “positive thought” that I threw in at the last minute).

If you believe that you can’t accomplish something, then you probably won’t. If you believe that you CAN accomplish it, then you are likely going to keep trying until you get it right! Right?

We all know that there are no guarantees in life so what’s all this crazy talk about “Thinking Positively” to a better life anyway, right? That’s a very intelligent question (thanks for asking it by the way), and there is a very logical answer.

Positive Thinking is always a good thing because no matter how bad things get, thinking positively is NOT likely to make things worse, right? Thinking stuff like “how can I make this situation better” is more likely to cause you to “find a way” to make things a little better than what they are!

Principles Of Positive Thinking

Is simply “Thinking” alone going to fix what’s wrong? Probably not, but surely you can understand the simple logic of how the “Principles Of Positive Thinking” will almost never make things worse. Instead, it will almost always make things a little less bad, and that’s always better than worse! Right? (wait, did I say that right?).

Thinking positive is not a guaranteed “fix-all”, but thinking negatively is almost always a guaranteed way to make a bad situation even worse. Simple as that! (but that’s just me).

Read between the lines and “Think!” And as always,

A Motivational Poem – Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Responsibility or The Blame Game?

Responsibility or The Blame Game?” Which one do you think is most likely to help you build a better life? It is an easy thought for some people to understand because of the truth of the matter. However sometimes the truth can be uncomfortable to hear, so if this offends you, please forgive me. Most of what I’m about to tell you I must admit came strait out of a book by Jack Canfield called “The Success Principles,” so I must give credit where credit is due.

Don’t Play The Blame Game!

If you play the “Blame Game” you will always lose in the end. You may possibly get a leg up from time to time, but ultimately YOU LOSE!

“You will never become successful if you continue to blame someone or something else for your lack of success. If you’re going to be a winner, you have to acknowledge the truth-it is you who took the actions, thought the thoughts, created the feelings, and made the choices that got you to where you are. It was you!”

Now I realize that everyone is different to an extent, but basic human needs and basic human mistakes are common to all of us. I suggest you ask yourself if you have ever been guilty of any of these statements below. I’m sure you’ve been guilty of at least one ;)

You are the one that ate the junk food. (or did the fast food drive-through force you? I think not!)

You are the one who didn’t say no!

You are the one who took the crappy job.

You are the one who stayed in the crappy job.

You are the one who chose to believe them.

You are the one who ignored your intuition.

You are the one who abandoned your dream.

You are the one who bought it.

You are the one who didn’t take care of it.

You are the one who decided you had to do it alone. (This one slapped “me-Gary” right in the face!)

You are the one who trusted him / her.

You are the one who said yes to getting a cat knowing you are allergic. (you know who you are).

Responsibility Wins The Game!

In short: You thought the thoughts, you created the feelings (believe it or not, you DO have some control over your feelings, but that’s another “Series” of blog posts all by it’s self), you made the choice, you said the words, and that’s why you are where are now.

I’m sorry if this hurts your ears, but taking 100% Responsibility for your own life and NOT Blaming Others is a must in order to “create / build a better life!” If you already know, understand and believe this then consider this a “Boosting” confirmation, and give yourself a big mental pat on the back. If you do not, you will. You either already know this, or you are going to learn it the hard way! You choose.

Cj and Gary (um, I’m Gary, the other “StayBoosted” guy) are here at StayBoosted.com to help lift you up and keep you strong. Sometimes however that includes a little shot of truth and reality. The cold hard truth was the order of the day this time. I sincerely with all my heart hope you took this as a “Boost!”

Enjoying Lifes Journey

When Life Seems Like a Battle, Can you Enjoy The Journey?

If your life seems to have taken a wrong turn don’t worry, there are almost always alternate routs available. Failure will not be an option as long as you keep your eyes on the prize, stay focused and keep moving forward.

Success in life is about the journey

We’ve all heard it before: “Success In Life is a Journey“, not just a destination, right? This is why I personally try to make each step count. Keeping a positive attitudemindset obviously does not make your problems go away, but it sure does help! Just like wealth can’t guarantee happiness, but it sure helps! Hey, just being honest here. StayBoosted! is all about being positive while keeping it real. Therefore, Real Positive:)

I learned that even when I feel that I have lost my way, I haven’t. I may be temporarily misguided, but not lost. Knowing that I have other options available to me helps me to simply turn around, try again and “Keep On Keeping On”.

Taking a wrong turn or missing an opportunity in life no longer causes me panic . Why? Because I’ve learned that I have many other options. I’m no longer limited to only one way to accomplish whatever it is that I’m striving for. In fact, the opportunity to explore unknown stuff along the way in “Life’s Journey” can often times be fun! (remember the journey).  ;)

Awareness of Flexibility can Reduce Your Fear

It may seem like I’m repeating myself, but I think it’s important to remember that since we now understand that there is almost always more than one option available to us, it gives us flexibility. This new “awareness” of our flexibility emboldens us to prosper despite our failings, and gives us strength to keep going with little or no fear! (Did I say that right? You know what I mean…don’t you?).

Answer these questions for your self:

1. What should you do when you feel like you’ve reached a dead end?

2. What can you do differently to ensure that you are less rigid and more flexible?

3. What changes can you make to ensure that you “enjoy the journey” just as much as the end
reward?

There is more that I could say about this but I don’t want to bore you (you’re welcome).

If this post has been of any help to you or sparked a little something in your mind then please let us know by leaving a comment below. Hey, if we’re doing good you need to tell us! Don’t just leave it to “Somebody Else!” If you’re the “Leave it to somebody else” kind of person then, well… think about that for a sec. Hmm…

A Sunday Morning Boost on Reciprocity

A Sunday Morning Boost For YOU!

This Sunday Morning Boost almost didn’t happen. After all, StayBoosted-CJ and I are only human right? Besides, everyone deserves a day off once in a while too, I’m sure you’ll agree. However, I felt like writing anyway and I think this will go along quite well with a “Sunday Morning Boost!”

The Law Of Reciprocity:

Have you ever heard of something called “The Law Of Reciprocity“? It states basically that if you are willing to give, then you will receive even more of what you gave. Some down home country Christian folk (such as myself, “StayBoosted-Gary”), like to call it “What goes around Comes around!” Or how about “The Golden Rule” that states basically; however you want to be treated is how you should treat others. Do you ever wonder why so much crappy stuff happens to you? I hope not, I hope your life is going just fantabulously (yes, I made that word up. Sorta).

Is The Law of “Reciprocity” so hard to believe?

Did you know that there are some people in the world who do not believe in God at all, and some that are agnostic but will still give to their local Church what they perceive to be a “Tithe”- as it is understood by Christians anyway? Now why in the world would an atheist do such a thing? It is because although they do not believe in God, they have figured out the fact that for whatever reasons they cant explain, when they stop giving, their income goes down. Atheists aren’t stupid you know, they pick-up on these things.

If You “Want” More, Then “Give” More!

This is not a sermon, ok? But “The Law Of Reciprocity” is real, and since this is Sunday, I thought it might be appropriate. If this upsets you, then you’re taking it all wrong, this is a fantastic thing! Look at it this way: When you give to others and help others, not ONLY your local church but people in general, you get to feel good about yourself for helping others in any way you possibly can, and then later you will, according to the law of reciprocity, gain back even more than you gave!

My Personal Experience With Forgiving:

Just a real quick-fast short story: A very dear friend of mine owed me $400 for a loan that I gave him one summer. The very next week that I loaned him the $400, he lost his job and became very depressed that he was unable to pay me back. Later that year at Christmas time I officially “forgave” him of the debt, right over the phone. He was ecstatic! Approximately 1 year after that, “I” owed someone $3,300 towards a $4,000 loan that someone gave me. I did make the payments for a while, but then “I” became very hard up.

I’m sure you’re about to guess what happened next, but I’ll bet you’re not going to believe me, but it’s true. The guy that “I” owed $3,300 to also officially “Forgave Me” of the rest of the balance of the loan which again was $3,300!! Now, as a Christian boy, I was taught that God will give you 7 to 10 times more than what you (me) first give Him. If you do the math, that’s about how it worked out. In my personal case I believe that by giving to my friend in need, God viewed it as giving just the same to God Himself.

Ok, this is starting to sound a little “Churchy” and that is not what this particular blog is about, so I’ll stop here, ok?

Have faith, be strong and as always,

Stay Boosted!

Is Perception Reality?

Perception is Reality?

YES! Here is one of my True “Life Lessons”: I strove to be a leader of many and thought I failed, only to find out later that I am a near “god-like” figure and leader of the two most important people on the planet! It’s true! Their names are, Chloe and Noah. Lesson: I’m the leader of the two most important people on the planet! That is my Perception! That is my Reality! Read between the lines, and THINK! Until then….

Closing Thought:

I wrote this Blog Post the very minute it came to me, so I thought I’d just “Copy-n-Paste” it here on the blog. Now I realize how much more I can Expand on this Extremely Important “Life Lesson“. So, I will expand on this soon, especially if this post gets several Comments asking for the “Expanded Version” so to speak.
