A Motivational Poem – Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Sing it!

“Sing It” and smile!

When you find yourself in a hard spot today think about the song that makes you smile the most and sing it!!

It has been proven(I think) that music can alter all moods.  So I challenge each and every one of you to “Sing It

At times life may seem like its all negative but (in my experiences) it is this point that can drive you further down or lift you up if you focus on a powerful positive song it can make the worst day seem like the best day so long story short…”Sing It

Responsibility or The Blame Game?

Responsibility or The Blame Game?” Which one do you think is most likely to help you build a better life? It is an easy thought for some people to understand because of the truth of the matter. However sometimes the truth can be uncomfortable to hear, so if this offends you, please forgive me. Most of what I’m about to tell you I must admit came strait out of a book by Jack Canfield called “The Success Principles,” so I must give credit where credit is due.

Don’t Play The Blame Game!

If you play the “Blame Game” you will always lose in the end. You may possibly get a leg up from time to time, but ultimately YOU LOSE!

“You will never become successful if you continue to blame someone or something else for your lack of success. If you’re going to be a winner, you have to acknowledge the truth-it is you who took the actions, thought the thoughts, created the feelings, and made the choices that got you to where you are. It was you!”

Now I realize that everyone is different to an extent, but basic human needs and basic human mistakes are common to all of us. I suggest you ask yourself if you have ever been guilty of any of these statements below. I’m sure you’ve been guilty of at least one ;)

You are the one that ate the junk food. (or did the fast food drive-through force you? I think not!)

You are the one who didn’t say no!

You are the one who took the crappy job.

You are the one who stayed in the crappy job.

You are the one who chose to believe them.

You are the one who ignored your intuition.

You are the one who abandoned your dream.

You are the one who bought it.

You are the one who didn’t take care of it.

You are the one who decided you had to do it alone. (This one slapped “me-Gary” right in the face!)

You are the one who trusted him / her.

You are the one who said yes to getting a cat knowing you are allergic. (you know who you are).

Responsibility Wins The Game!

In short: You thought the thoughts, you created the feelings (believe it or not, you DO have some control over your feelings, but that’s another “Series” of blog posts all by it’s self), you made the choice, you said the words, and that’s why you are where are now.

I’m sorry if this hurts your ears, but taking 100% Responsibility for your own life and NOT Blaming Others is a must in order to “create / build a better life!” If you already know, understand and believe this then consider this a “Boosting” confirmation, and give yourself a big mental pat on the back. If you do not, you will. You either already know this, or you are going to learn it the hard way! You choose.

Cj and Gary (um, I’m Gary, the other “StayBoosted” guy) are here at StayBoosted.com to help lift you up and keep you strong. Sometimes however that includes a little shot of truth and reality. The cold hard truth was the order of the day this time. I sincerely with all my heart hope you took this as a “Boost!”

Your Right To An Opinion

Your Right To An Opinion” is just that!!!

Use your opinions and thoughts to benefit others, not handicap them!

When you face something that you don’t understand, don’t use your opinion to degrade the person that is doing it.  Instead use your opinion to be curious and help that person.

For example lets just say your child-hood friend approaches you and tells you about something he is going to try.  You may not agree with him 100% but instead of putting him down (as a lot of us have done in the past{myself included}) Be curious, state your opinion and follow it with a question like so what exactly does that mean because I don’t understand it.

In doing this you not only get to state your opinion but you can support your friend/family/etc.

Please leave a comment and give me your take on things.

Say Goodbye to Yesterday

“Say Goodbye to Yesterday” because today is all you have.

If you sit and live in “yesterday” you will be stuck and trapped; Just as if you are in prison!  The prison of your mind is far worse than the prison for the state or even and national prison.  You won’t steal a car because your afraid of prison.  Why do you constantly focus on the things that will keep you inside the mental prison we all hate to be in-Depression.

Stop living in your past, nothing can change it. Focus on today!

If you focus on today then tomorrow will come by default.  But, if you focus on yesterday, you will not know what to be prepared for when tomorrow comes.  And in addition if you focus on tomorrow you lose the pleasure of living today.

So “Say Goodbye to Yesterday” TODAY!!!

Spring Forward

Spring Forward” and forget about your past.

In times we may find ourselves stuck thinking about the past and how it has impacted our present life…Spring Forward and forget about it.

There is nothing you can do about the past but learn from it.  Focus on what you don’t like about the past and think about the lessons that can be taken from it.  After you find the lesson, learn from your mistakes and move on!!!

The Climb

The Climb” is what life is ALL about!!

Its not about being at the top of “Lifes Mountain”.  It is about the journey or “The Climb” up to the top!

The easy times and the hard times are all part of “The Climb” But when you get to where you want to be you will look back and laugh about the “Hard Times” because it is then that your true character takes the lead!

So enjoy “The Climb” and when someone tells you that you cant reach for the next rock and keep going!!
