Motivation and How to Get Motivated

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Motivation has become a popular word nowadays. There are motivational coaches and speakers, and motivational books and articles. What is it actually, and why do you need it?

Motivation is a driving force. In order to accomplish anything, you need a driving force, otherwise nothing will happen. A wish is not strong enough to make you take action. A wish is a weak desire. Only a strong desire can drive forward, to act and accomplish aims and goals.

In order to get motivated, you need to know exactly what it is that you want, to possess a strong desire, and to be willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish your goal.

More than often there is lack of motivation or only a short-lived one. How many times have you started enthusiastically a weight loss program, began a bodybuilding or aerobics training program or started to learn a foreign language, only to stop after a short while? Few people possess enough willpower and self-discipline to go through to the end with what they begin (this is one of the reasons I have written the book “Will Power and Self Discipline”).

It easier to show motivation in connection with a subject that is dear to you. If you desire something, but you don’t feel motivated enough to act, this means that the desire is not important enough. To be motivated to take action and do something in respect to your desire, you need to possess a really strong desire.

Motivation has much to do with the emotions and the imagination, which means that if you want to increase it, you have to work on your feelings and imagination.

Tips to increase your motivation:

1. Think, meditate and find out whether you really want to achieve your desire, and whether it is worth the effort and time.

2. Make your goal very clear. Writing it down will help.

3. Think often about your goal or desire.

4. Visualize your goal as already accomplished, and close your mind to contrary thoughts.

5. Read books or articles about the subject of your goal.

6. Read about people who have achieved success.

7. Think often about the benefits you will gain by achieving your goal.

8. Visualize, and think about how you would feel after achieving your goal.

9. Repeat positive affirmations such as: “I have the desire and inner strength to achieve my goal”. Repeat this affirmation often, with faith and strong feelings.

10. Start with doing something small concerning your goal. Success in small matters leads to greater success.

Motivation is the powerful engine that moves you towards success and accomplishments in every area.

Thinking Positively

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Looking for “Positive Daily Thoughts”?

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar (just a “positive thought” that I threw in at the last minute).

If you believe that you can’t accomplish something, then you probably won’t. If you believe that you CAN accomplish it, then you are likely going to keep trying until you get it right! Right?

We all know that there are no guarantees in life so what’s all this crazy talk about “Thinking Positively” to a better life anyway, right? That’s a very intelligent question (thanks for asking it by the way), and there is a very logical answer.

Positive Thinking is always a good thing because no matter how bad things get, thinking positively is NOT likely to make things worse, right? Thinking stuff like “how can I make this situation better” is more likely to cause you to “find a way” to make things a little better than what they are!

Principles Of Positive Thinking

Is simply “Thinking” alone going to fix what’s wrong? Probably not, but surely you can understand the simple logic of how the “Principles Of Positive Thinking” will almost never make things worse. Instead, it will almost always make things a little less bad, and that’s always better than worse! Right? (wait, did I say that right?).

Thinking positive is not a guaranteed “fix-all”, but thinking negatively is almost always a guaranteed way to make a bad situation even worse. Simple as that! (but that’s just me).

Read between the lines and “Think!” And as always,

A Question To Think About

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Some people see things as they are and ask why…Others see things that never were and ask why not..Who Are You?

Take today to see how you look at the world you live everyday.

When people say you have to go to school in order to succeed…do you believe or would you rather prove people wrong.

When your asked “Why waist your time, that has NEVER worked?” do you stop because that means You can’t be the first one?

Which One are you???

Me??…
EVERYTHING was once impossible until it was done!!!!

Enjoying Lifes Journey

When Life Seems Like a Battle, Can you Enjoy The Journey?

If your life seems to have taken a wrong turn don’t worry, there are almost always alternate routs available. Failure will not be an option as long as you keep your eyes on the prize, stay focused and keep moving forward.

Success in life is about the journey

We’ve all heard it before: “Success In Life is a Journey“, not just a destination, right? This is why I personally try to make each step count. Keeping a positive attitudemindset obviously does not make your problems go away, but it sure does help! Just like wealth can’t guarantee happiness, but it sure helps! Hey, just being honest here. StayBoosted! is all about being positive while keeping it real. Therefore, Real Positive:)

I learned that even when I feel that I have lost my way, I haven’t. I may be temporarily misguided, but not lost. Knowing that I have other options available to me helps me to simply turn around, try again and “Keep On Keeping On”.

Taking a wrong turn or missing an opportunity in life no longer causes me panic . Why? Because I’ve learned that I have many other options. I’m no longer limited to only one way to accomplish whatever it is that I’m striving for. In fact, the opportunity to explore unknown stuff along the way in “Life’s Journey” can often times be fun! (remember the journey).  ;)

Awareness of Flexibility can Reduce Your Fear

It may seem like I’m repeating myself, but I think it’s important to remember that since we now understand that there is almost always more than one option available to us, it gives us flexibility. This new “awareness” of our flexibility emboldens us to prosper despite our failings, and gives us strength to keep going with little or no fear! (Did I say that right? You know what I mean…don’t you?).

Answer these questions for your self:

1. What should you do when you feel like you’ve reached a dead end?

2. What can you do differently to ensure that you are less rigid and more flexible?

3. What changes can you make to ensure that you “enjoy the journey” just as much as the end
reward?

There is more that I could say about this but I don’t want to bore you (you’re welcome).

If this post has been of any help to you or sparked a little something in your mind then please let us know by leaving a comment below. Hey, if we’re doing good you need to tell us! Don’t just leave it to “Somebody Else!” If you’re the “Leave it to somebody else” kind of person then, well… think about that for a sec. Hmm…

What if?

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

What if? A question that everyone asks themselves at one point in their life or another.

But why?

I’ll tell you why…Because we don’t realize that the present is powerful!

Your actions today can and will effect the rest of your life!

There are times I’ve sat back in my past and wondered “What if?” and I know a lot of you have done the same and asked some of these questions…

What if I handled things differently with my ex?

What if I gave an extra 10% effort, would we have won the game?

Now it’s time for the BIG ONE!

What if I knew then, what I know now??

Why waste your time worrying about things that can’t be changed?

Live your life to the fullest Right Now! So that when the time comes for you to reflect on these days we’re living, There will not be a need to ask “What if

Know in this second that your giving your all in life! Don’t hold back! Never back down! Never Quit!

And focus on the time at hand ;

The Past has passed. You cannot change that!

The Future is yet to come.

Live for this very moment!

Or just look at it this way…

What if you don’t?

Think about it…

Dont try to be Perfect!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

If your goal in life is to be perfect then you need to rethink life!!!! Because there is no such thing!!!!(in us humans anyways!!!)

No one expects us to be perfect(very close to perfect maybe..lol) but I don’t expect it from anyone and I know God doesn’t
So remember this:

You can be boosted and a wonderful person with out perfection…

You simply must:
Give 100% in everything you do
Always be honest
Be trustworthy

and last but not least(This is the BIG one)

Help other people… I personally promise if you focus on helping other people in there time of need(as much as you can without killing yourself..lol) then your life will come full circle!!!!

As Always…Thank you for your time and Stay Boosted!!!!!
