You Cannot Buy Motivation

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Trust me I’ve tried!

You may be able to buy something that gets you motivated but its YOU who supplies the motivation.

Over time I have become a huge Anthony Robbins fan.  A lot of people think it is because he motivates me, IT’S NOT!

That’s not what he does.  He simply points you in the direction to finding that point inside of you to get the motivation to not give up and not be a quitter.  People do not pay thousands of dollars to go to his seminar’s to get motivated.  If they did, by the time they got home they would need it again! (because the majority of the people who go to his conventions travel thousands of miles).

YOU CANNOT BUY MOTIVATION

It’s YOU who tells yourself to do work!
It’s YOU who makes yourself get out of bed! (when you do..LOL).
It’s YOU who controls ALL this!

Money is not what brings success or motivation!

YOU DO!…So try this “Affermation

————————————————————————–

I am Motivated
I will push myself to new horizons
I am Motivated
I deserve new levels of success that I will not only achieve but I will help others achieve
I am Motivated
I am great, my life is great, every day I’m in the presence of greatness because
I am Motivated
————————————————

Be Motivated today and don’t let anything stop you.

Be great because that’s who you are not what money bought you.

Lets Get Religious!

Monday, July 27th, 2009

O.K. Now my original thoughts were to keep my religious thoughts off of this blog.

However, I believe it’s true that no matter what your religion is, you can still “Stay Boosted!”

But…Well…Here goes!

For those of you who don’t know already that my partner [Gary Anderson] aka “@GanderCo” is a Christian person and so is his family.  I was over there today when his wife told a story that was shared earlier this morning in church and it sparked a thought about my past that I think should be shared!

(Disclaimer!: If your not into religion and don’t want to hear about this-then don’t read it. I promise not to be mad).

In my life I’ve been the poster child for going back and forth with religion not that I’ve planned on it but I was young and dumb!

As a child I didn’t know anything but being a Christian but I never truly led the life that I should have.

The story starts in November of ’01 I had just found a really close friend that showed me another side of “Christ” that I hadn’t seen (or paid attention to) and instantly it seemed as if my life had changed for the better.  I didn’t make it to church but would consider myself a God fearing man.  Then one day I got the phone call that a friend of mine had been murdered and turned my back to God.

It was about a year later I met my “adopted” family (well lets just say real close friends), and they got me going to church and I loved it but one thing led to another while I was on the ship (I was in the Navy) and against my power (I thought) I had hit rock bottom and I did not want to live!!

I attempted to turn to God but what others would see as a test of my “Faith” I took as a good push away from Him, and sadly started to wounder if there was a god and if there was, how could he allow people to go through pain and let young kids die for no reason and diseases and famine and the list goes on and on.

Then I came across a piece of paper (Author Unknown to me) with the best explanation for that-it read:

———————————————————————————————–

This is one of the best explanations of “Why God Allows Pain and Suffering” that I have seen. It’s an explanation that other people will understand.

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.

They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: “I don’t believe that God exists.”

“Why do you say that?” asked the customer.

“Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.”

The customer thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because he didn’t want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.

The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: “You know what? Barbers do not exist.”

“How can you say that?” asked the surprised barber. “I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!”

“No!” the customer exclaimed. “Barbers don’t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.”

“Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me.”

“Exactly!”- Affirmed the customer. “That’s the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens is, people don’t go to Him and do not look for Him. That’s why there’s so much pain and suffering in the world.”

What is Your Legacy?

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Heaven forbid, if you were to die this second what would your “Legacy” be? What would people say about you and the way you lived your life?

Be honest with yourself…Don’t answer to me or anyone else! Remember you know the truth so tell it to yourself.  If the answer is not what you want it to be you can make a change now! It is not too late.  Whether you have kids to carry your “Legacy” on or not…I promise one thing, If you touch enough lives your “Legacy” WILL be great!!

What is your Legacy?

Be honest with yourself! You know if you need to change or not.

My Vote?…We ALL need to change!

If you believe your “Legacy” is what you want…Could it be greater??

Think about it and answer yourself!

Paradigm Shift?

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Paradigm Shift”? What is that??

I’ll be honest I had no clue what that meant until November of 2002.

Story Time“!

I was in the Navy and going through a lot mentally. I was the “Poster Child” for depression. Psych eval’s on the regular and my L.P.O. (Boss) laughing at me asking if I’ve seen any “Pink Elephants”?

I got off work one day and ran into a friend of mine outside of the barracks.  He was going crazy! (in a good way) I honestly could not tell you what he said because he was stuttering beyond belief, in pure excitement!  It was something about making a lot of money and FAST! Thats all I needed to hear…”Be in the lounge at 6 tonight!” was the last thing I heard from him.

I fell asleep and woke up around 6:15 and ran to the lounge and there sat a well kept man in a VERY NICE suit and shoes that looked like they were worth more than my paycheck!! Did what he say make sense…Yes! It was Multi-Level Marketing. But, the following Saturday this gentleman picked me up to take me to a “presentation” and he was listening to some crazy old man talking about “Madness”!

At this point I was thinking “This guy is a complete LOSER!” It was getting to know him and the people at the “presentation” and seeing some of the cars in the parking lot (some very cool ones might I add) that made me think maybe I should pay attention to this crazy old man and his “Madness”…His name was [Jim Rohn] LOL Yeah go ahead and laugh!

Now that my mind was open I noticed that this old man MADE SENSE!!!

Change the way you think! – Its simple but I never knew how big it was

It was this point that I realized that “As a man thinketh, So is he or she”!!!

If you say you are..You Are! If you say you are not..You Are Not!

If your having a “Bad Day” you possess the power to change it!!

“Now I know, only I can stop the rain!”-DMX (yes I just quoted him)

Its that simple, What is “Paradigm Shift”

This is the “Paradigm Shift for Dummies”- Definition

Create Your Dream Day!!

If you start your day off listening to that annoying buzz sound that comes with every alarm clock(You know what I’m talking about…that sound that makes you want to cry!) and yell and pound your hand against the alarm clock.  Get up and stub your toe on the leg of your bed and hit your head on your dresser as you reach down to grab your toe…Guess what Your Going To Have A Bad Day!!!

But…

If you wake up with a sound you like and tell your self “I’m going to be great today!” Wash your face and brush your teeth then look in the mirror and afferm the fact that you are “Golden” and “Your Going to be Great Today!” Guess what Your Going To Have A Great Day!!!

Here It Is-

A “Paradigm Shift” is needed in everybodies life!

Try this prayer (for you Christians)

God,

Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And Wisdom to know the difference!

Amen

Thats It and All I have to say!!

Look Me In The Eyes

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

A Vision of your “Personal Destination” in life creates a confidence that will show in your eyes.  Do not show your fears, not because they make you look weak because they don’t. But, because they are your secret strength. The inner fear of what you won’t become if used correctly can drive you to becoming great and yet unstoppable.

I may be over doing it with the video’s the last three days strait but…This stuff is powerful!

Try this on for size…I’m going to do the same.

Wake up in the morning, go into the bathroom and when you wash your face and brush your teeth,

look yourself in the mirror and say this to yourself:

“Look me in the eyes”…It’s o.k. if your scared, so am I.

But we’re scared for different reasons.

I’m scared of what I wont become;

Your scared of what I could become.

Look at me…I won’t let myself end where I started-I won’t let myself finish where I began;

I know what is within me even if you can’t see it yet;

Look me in the eyes…I have something more important than courage, I have patience!

“I will become what I know I am”

-Michael Jordan

What to some may be just a very good commercial is actually one of the strongest affirmations I have ever came across!!!

Give it a shot!

Rewrite it if you think you need to in order to put your touch on it.

Or don’t

Either way…I challenge you to use it!!

Stay Boosted!

I hope you have a good day!

P.S. If you liked this video post, you’ll love the post “Are You Ready To Fail?”

Are You Ready to Fail?

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

A really good “Positive Thought”, ok? Check it out!

Time and time again people , including “Michael Jordan”, fail just as much as us “not so super-humans” do.-lol, but its not that big of a deal to us until we truly look at it! For you “Golfers” listen to this: “Tiger Woods” didn’t qualify!

Us “regular people”, too often get so incredibly awe-struck by all that stuff that these seeminglyAmazing Athletes” have been able to accomplish, to the point that we think they have been given some kind of Gift From God or something!  Now, I’m NO doctor or therapist or anything like that, but I’ve learned to recognize fundamental, laws of the universe/Principles when I see them (for example “The Law of Attraction“). Principles that apply no differently to you and me than they do to the “Super Humans” mentioned above!

Failings Are Precious Life Lessons!

It’s the All-Mighty Michael Jordan! Arguably the best in his business, right? But THINK for a minute! Think! No, don’t say: “Yea but he’s Michael Jordan, he’s different, I could never be like that”. To be honest, I hope you’re already way ahead of me as to where I’m going with this, but if not that’s ok, that’s why StayBoosted.com is here, ok?

Failing Is A Necessary Part Of The “Life Learning” Process!

So the next time you feel like you “Failed”, be thankful for the “Life Lesson” and push towards your destination in life!

One more thing-I write to give you, “The Reader”, postive thoughts, motivation and a new outlook on life. I hope you enjoy what I have to write. If you do, please leave a comment so I know how you feel.

A Day of Rest

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Hopefully this will reach you in good health and spirits.

Today, Sunday July 19, as in every Sunday, I challenge you to rest.

Not that you are not to do anything but if you look at it(whatever it may be) as work … Don’t Do It!

Do what you wish today, relax and enjoy whatever it is that may make your day worth while!

Take in a deep breath of life and slowly exhale

Inhale positive life…Exhale negative thoughts

Happy Sunday and as always be blessed

and

STAY BOOSTED!
